Lorcan Finnegan Explores Capitalism

Lorcan Finnegan explores capitalism once again in his new film, ‘Nocebo,’ but frames his discussion through the wealth divide between the rich and the poor. Featuring Eva Green & Mark Strong, the film follows a fashion designer (Green) who suffers from a mysterious illness that confounds her doctors and frustrates her husband (Strong). Help arrives in the form of a Filipino nanny who uses traditional folk healing to reveal a horrifying truth. The psychological thriller is a fascinating examination of the placebo and nocebo effects and a staggering commentary on consumer culture.
